Where have 19 years gone? From the time Jacob was born he had such a special spirit and was such a fun little boy. He has always wanted to go on a mission. We talked about it so much and it seemed so far away and now here we are. It is so hard to believe it is time to send him off. Jacob was called to the Macon Georgia Mission. He will be serving in areas that his dad served in on his mission many years ago.

This was such a bitter sweet day. We are so excited to have Jacob serve a mission, and yet we felt like our hearts were being ripped out as we said goodbye. Jacob was so excited and so ready to go as we watched him smile, wave and walk away he radiated. It is a wonderful memory that we will keep with us. We will miss him so much. He was always the life of the party.

Mary, I am so glad you found our blog. The pictures at the MTC are great. We will miss Jake, but I know he will be such a great missionary. Chuck and I are both so impressed with how much he has grown over the past couple years. I know the next two will be even more so. We love you guys and are so excited to see you next week. Love ya.
